Since the Forum's inception in 2004, we have had the privilege of hosting many world-famous leaders and experts, including the President of Korea Roh Moo Hyun, CEO of Samsung Electronics Yun Jong Yong, former U.S. Vice President and Nobel Peace Prize Laureate Al Gore, Chairman & CEO of Google Eric Schmidt, CEO of Microsoft Steve Ballmer, Founder of the MIT Media Lab Nicholas Negroponte, President of Disney-ABC TV Group Anne Sweeney, President & CEO of The Associated Press Tom Curley , Author of & Editor-in-Chief of Wired Magazine Chris Anderson, Founder of Creative Commons Lawrence Lessig, President & CEO of Qualcomm Paul Jacobs. We also continue to receive strong support from our strategic Forum partners, Samsung Electronics, LG Electronics, SK Telecom, KT Corporation, NHN and McKinsey & Company.
Nearly a half-century into the space age, space remains a new frontier whose value to humanity is still being discovered. It improves the quality of human existence in so many ways that scholars, corporates and governments are in the race of putting more resources in the related fields. In April 2008, sponsored by the Korean government and SBS, the first Korean astronaut will journey to the ISS (International Space Station), through which the world¡¯s 11th biggest economy will join the world in dreaming together about the future.
Against this backdrop, we will delve into the issues of IT, media, entertainment and space business to explore the ideas that will both enable sustainable evolution and inspire revolutionary changes in our lives. Interdisciplinary talks with visionary speakers will spark a new insight that enables you to get the gist of this fast changing world and find the solution to your success.
We look forward to welcoming you to the Seoul Digital Forum 2008.
